Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone had an enjoyable Halloween! We were busy most of the day, but had fun celebrating this holiday. Brooklyn was old enough to understand what was going on and she had way too much sugar for one day, but it's only one day, right?
We started our Halloween celebrations off on Wednesday when we attended Marty's work party at Wheeler Farm. Brooklyn and I enjoyed the animals while Marty helped decorate for the party. Brooklyn loved watching all the animals!

Brooklyn and Marty have found that leaves are LOTS of FUN to play in. For the past week, wherever we go that has leaves, this is what you will see...

It's a leaf party!

Today started off with one of my weekly visits to the doctor. Later on we met up with some of Brooklyn's cousins at my brother, Tim's work to trick-or-treat. This is a picture of Brooklyn with her pirate cousin, Caitlin. Brooklyn had fun, but also was scared to death by several adults who love to scare little ones! I sure hope she doesn't have nightmares tonight!

Then we attended the trunk-or-treat at a church by our house. What a big event! We went through about 10 bags of candy in 30 minutes or less. This is Brooklyn afterward.

We were going to go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood a bit too, but decided Brooklyn already had more candy then she needed so we stayed home and she helped pass out what little candy we had left. Sadly, we were out of candy by 8 pm. Brooklyn thought it was great fun to hand out candy to the other kids.

And by the way, yes that is Marty. He dressed up as Garth from Wayne's World at work today and just stayed dressed up to hand out candy to the kiddies.

Overall, it was a fun Halloween! Sadly, Brooklyn is now afraid of clowns and monsters and talks about both of them constantly, but I guess we learn our fears somewhere, right?
