We went to Tracy Aviary on Monday, October 3rd. It was very much a last minute thing. I had a daily deal type thing I had been meaning to use all summer. The weather was looking bad the rest of the week so I grabbed a friend and went. Fortunately the timing worked out for everyone because it was a fun little outing.
My girls love these things, even if they can't get their head in it all the way. :)
My girls loved the huge leaves!
The girls loved the birds too. Especially the peacocks. Brooklyn decided that the girl peacocks should be the pretty ones and the boys should be the plainer ones. They also learned the peacock sound and loved it! They thought there was a loud cat around.
The swans were beautiful!
This owl was hard to get a picture of with my sad little camera. It kept focusing on the fence instead of the owl.
Brooklyn's absolute favorite birds were the peacocks.
We were lucky enough to be there when they were feeding the ducks and geese. They let the kids take turns feeding them as well. Eliza loved this, but the pigeons were pecking at me while she was feeding the other birds. Brooklyn was terrified of the pigeons because they got too close. She's afraid of just about anything right now though.
